This is the ED song to a jdrama that is airing right now called Absolute Boyfriend. When it first played after the first episode I was like WOW. Ayaka's voice is very special because it's especially deep unlike most artists nowadays. Her voice is really thick and not thin/unsteady which is the case for most FEMALE artists =)
I actually bought her first album without listening to any of her songs..or was it one but I really liked the cover so I'm like 'mea' might as well =)
There are 3 songs in this single. If I had money I would buy this single too. But tomorrow is Anime North...so that would be impossible.

Sometimes I wish I had more patience and time to write a detailed review about each album that I upload ... Today I passed by a blog called jpop4u and I briefly skimmed through the reviews and was greatly impressed. I hope that blog does well because I see a lot of potential in the author's writing. I am wearing a t-shirt, which is underneath a thin sweater, which is underneath a cotton sweater...You guessed it...I'M FRIGG'N FREEZING/////

I don't know what happened to Toronto but it seems like autumn here. Did the icebergs from the north finally drift south enough to cause a climate change or is this a result of the ozone. Man I suck in these environmental stuff.

By the way...I am pretty sure everyone here has heard of the earthquake in China. My club and many others are selling those plastic bracelet stuff to raise awareness and also to collect money and donate it to the people of SiChuan. If anyone is interested and lives in toronto...reply?? haha...then you can meet me in person too =D



I just realized that this is her fourth album and it's her worst one in terms of sales. How sad.

It really does seem like an average album. I've always liked her songs though. I just remember listening to her song which happened to be the OP for the jdrama Dragon Zakura. Her voice is so sweet =) I do feel this summer breeze when listening to her songs..very good summer feel =)
Alright...it's really a mediocre album but none of the songs are too intense so you can listen to them while studying or working kaka. Ok so it's time to focus on one song. I really like the first actual song 'Say Hello' because the beginning of the song has really great instrumentals and leads you to imagine some extremely sad song but in actual fact it's not. melody. actually breaks the music with a echo-ish voice and makes u think heavennnnn haha.

I wonder if I can keep this up and update at least twice per week. Hopefully more than that of course =)

I am going to include a more detailed summary now (one that is not crappy!). First thing...I have been an Utada fan for quite a long time, she was an all time favourite ever since First Love. I think I have mentioned how I dislikd her songs when she started to venture off into America. This album here is a breakthrough, it's like she finally went back to what she is good at. Luckily it's more up to beat and mordern. However most of her songs always include weird beats and instruments but they fit her style so mea haha. My favourite songs in this album are: Heart Station, Beautiful World, Flavour of Life, PRISONER OF LOVE, and Stay Gold. As you can see I like a lot of the songs there. Let me go in depth with Prisoner or love. This song is the OP for a very exciting new Japanese drama called "Last Friends". The beginning of this song is quite distinct, it starts off with strong hammer-like sounds. Utada's voice is really soft in this song and many notes are dragged out and it really seems like she is in pain. A little bit about the drama now...it talks about "friends" obviously and they all have their own problems. None of these people have unrealistic problems, ie. Michiru (main character) has a problematic boyfriend, well he's more like insanely emo but she cares for him and doesn't want him to hurt himself. Anyhow this song fits very nicely into the drama. A side note is that the album cover made me go wtf (like are you trying to look like someone who just woke up or a guy?). And 'Boku wa kuma' is the dumbest song ever but the simple melody that keeps repeating over and over again in the song makes the song somewhat addictive.

Let's just say...this is an EXCELLENT album =)
Good albums deserve good ratings: 4.6/5.0!!!

I hope this isn't a late post. Anyways I will be updating more frequently since summer is here. I have tried to find summer jobs but all my efforts have proven to be very very unsuccessful (as in jobs with low pay). I managed to snatch two part-time jobs, however most of the money will be going to my monthly rent. Ok...time for downloads...

Just a side note that I am starting to look at online tutorials on how to fix up images so you may notice that the photos I post now are a tad better looking =)
There are actually two CD covers for this CD like many others in Japan. The first one looks very similar to this one but with an emo YUI (or just YUI trying to fit inside the smallest hole in the box). The song I like the most in this album is LOVE and TRUTH but I would rather buy the single than this album. The problem with this album is that a lot of the songs are really LOUD! I much prefer her previous album which I actually bought =)
Anyways this cover beats the previous one so I guess it's a win/lose situation.
